Water and Sewer Services

The Village of Vanduser provides water and sewer services for residents and businesses.  The Village of Vanduser does not provide electricity, cable, internet or satellite for residents. 

New Accounts, Transfers, Accounts to be Shut Off
In order to start a new account, or to transfer an existing service, then the person financially responsible for the account has to come into the City Hall with the following:
  • Driver license
  • Pay a meter deposit: $150.00 and $10.00 activation fee
  • Pay any prior outstanding bills (Applies to transfers)
  • May need a copy of your lease from your landlord to verify various information
In order to turn off water service, someone may either come into the City Hall or make this request over the phone
(573-471-7662). Additional information may be required.

Billing Schedule
Water and sewer services are billed on a monthly basis. A bill will be mailed to the account holders address. Bills are sent out on the first (1st) day of each calendar month and are due on or before the fifteenth (15th) day of the month in which the bills are postmarked. Water bills are considered delinquent on the 20th of the month with an automatic $25.00 penalty added.

Disconnect Policy 
Customers who have failed to pay prior to 5:00 p.m. on the 5th day on the month next succeeding water/ sewer services will be disconnected.
​Before services can be restored a reconnection fee of $25.00 along with ALL past due charges shall be paid.
When the account is paid in full the city shall then restore services within 72 hours of payment.
(Under certain circumstances IE: family emergency etc; a 5 day extension may be granted to you upon a formal request and approval from the council.)

User Charges
  • $150.00 meter deposit at the start of new service plus a non refundable $10.00 activation fee.
                        (Deposit will be paid back if you move out of town and no balance is due.)
  • Water Rate: $8.75 for the first 1000 gallons and $4.75  for every thousand gallons after that.
  • Sewer Rate: $11.60 for the first 1000 gallons and $3.60 for every thousand gallons after that. 
  • Service Charge: $1.00
If delinquent and or disconnected
  • Late Fee $25.00 
  • Reconnection Fee $25.00

Making Payments 
There are several convenient ways to pay your water and sewer bill:
  • At the City Hall during normal business hours. We accept cash, card, check or money orders.
  • After hours place your payment in the black drop box located on the front of City Hall.
  • Mail your payment to Vanduser City Hall
  • Click the Water Bill Payment Button below to make on online payment.
